Is Hometown Laundry a franchise?
Hometown Laundry is NOT a franchise. We are a locally owned and operated small business. We are not a “factory” service. We provide personalized service and face-to-face contact. If you ever have an issue when our attendant is not available, we are just a phone call away!
What time can the last load start?
We would appreciate it if all washes started before 10:00 PM. If they begin by this time, it gives you plenty of time to wash and dry before closing at 11:00 PM.
How long do clothes take in the laundromat?
Our state-of-the-art washers and dryers are fast. You should be able to complete a load in about 52 minutes. Of course, you could complete eight laundry loads at the same time.
Is someone there to help me if I have a question or a problem?
We generally have an attendant on duty to help with any needs Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, and on Sundays, 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM.
If our attendant is not available, we are always accessible via phone call, text or Facebook message.
What is the best day to go to the laundromat?
If you want to beat the rush, arrive early in the morning, when the laundromat is opening its doors. Tuesday through Thursday mornings are the least crowded.
Can I leave the laundromat while my clothes are washing or drying?
Do not leave clothes unattended after the washing/drying cycle. No one wants to be that person who has their clothes removed from the machine if they are left unattended.
Can your machines handle large bulky items?
We have the size you need, including multiple large-capacity machines that can wash oversized household and business items.

I don't have time to wash my clothes – can you do it for me?
Absolutely! Whether you’re short on time or would just rather have someone else take care of the laundry, we are your one-stop solution. We provide a Wash & Fold Service if you want to drop off your laundry, or we can come to you with our Pick up & Delivery Service. We want you to have a life without laundry.
Is it Laundry Mat or Laundromat?
Great question. We’re pretty sure it’s “Laundromat” but “Laundry Mat” is commonly used in some parts of the country.
By the way, the first business with coin-operated washers and dryers for public use was called a “Washateria.” This evolved to “laundromat” in the 1950s, mimicking the once popular coin-operated automat restaurants.
But we’ve seen Laundromat spelled in other ways, including Laundrymat, Laundromatt, Laundrette and Launderette.
